Foundation - Study for Men

Every Monday, 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM, from 03/22/2010 to 05/10/2010

Foundation, A Men’s Study on Mondays at 6 am in the Gathering Place beginning March 1

“Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete." Luke 6.46-49

The Christian must be a builder who digs down deep to lay a foundation on solid rock. As men we must especially take the lead on this. We need a foundation to rest our life on and we need to make sure that our family is resting on that same foundation. Jesus Christ is that solid rock that we are to stand on. With all the storms and crashing waves of this culture attempting to knock us down we must have our feet on sure and immovable ground.

Over these ten weeks we will take a deep plunge together in looking at nine foundation stones which we as believers must lay and rest our lives upon. This study will offer the following:

Knowledge in the basics of the Christian life
Encouragement to develop spiritual disciplines to help us daily grow in the Christian life
Fellowship and discussion with other men
Practical application for our daily life
