Prayer Gatherings
Here at The Ridge we believe that prayer is the fuel to everything we do. Without it we are doing things in vain. We believe that the crying sin of the church is it's prayerlessness. We long to be a church of prayer.

Short writing on prayer from our lead pastor:
When He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayer of the saints. Revelation 5.8
A couple months ago a friend of mine sent an email to me. My friend has just moved back from Atlanta to live with his Mom and Dad. His Dad is dying of cancer and he wants to love and care for his Dad in his last days. My friend sends updates often about his Dad and what he is learning. The email he sent a couple of months ago had this closing salutation, filling the bowls. You might be saying, what is that? In Revelation 8 there is a sense of great expectation (8.1). The silence of the Church, both in heaven and on earth, portrays a picture of a people waiting to see what God was going to do. Then in Revelation 8 it gives this great picture of the work of Christ, angels and prayers of the saints. We see in Revelation 5, golden bowls full of incense mentioned. These are the prayers of the saints (5.8 and 8.4). Prayers of God’s people are filling the bowls. The prayers are pictured as something that is very much alive in heaven. This includes your God-centered, Christ-interceding, and Holy Spirit-leading prayers. Along with these prayers we see the work of Jesus, our High Priest. Jesus’ perfection, His worthiness, and His intercession along with the prayers of the saints bring forth action. Thrown to the earth are peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake (8.5). This is the answer God gives to the God-centered, Christ-interceding, and Holy Spirit-leading prayers of the saints. So, what’s my point? Pray! Pray! Pray! Fill the bowls and expect God to answer according to His Sovereign will. Church, we need to pray. It is our highest calling.
Let's fill the bowls together,
Jerry
