God's Will

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Table Talk Topic: God's Will Passage: James 4:11–17

James 4.11-17: Sometimes at the table of life words are said against people around the table whether they are there or not. Sometimes at the table of life plans and decisions are made without God in the picture. Both of these actions mean a lot. When we do this we are playing God. Now, we would never verbalize or even think of the idea of wanting to play God or think we are God, but when we speak against others and roll through life without submitting to God’s will and depending on Him we do. This is what James addresses in our Scripture text today. Sometimes life is tough, as we encounter other people and the differing plans and tasks that need to be made, but how we handle both demonstrates who is piloting our ship. So, as the song says, Jesus Savior pilot me!
