Bible Reading 1 John 2.3-6
By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. 1 John 2:3-6
I was getting a cup of coffee and saw a group of women in scrubs talking about a shift dealing with several emergencies. I was not surprised to find out they were emergency room nurses as they dressed and sounded like nurses.
So, what do people think about you, can they tell you are a Christian by your words and actions? The goal of God’s transforming love is that we would be faithful and obedient to God’s commands in His Word. The proof of one’s relationship with God through Christ is not just in the words, but in a life that lives as Jesus did. Such a life has the truth in them, but one who does not obey God’s commands is a liar. So, is it evident that the truth is in you and that you know Jesus?
Our Christian journey is not an event or sprint, but it’s a marathon or as friend said, “It’s a parade and God has put all sorts of people in our parade.” May you continue your transformation from things of this world to more mature disciples by listening to God and those He puts in your parade.
