Matthew: The Church - the Great Contrast

Matthew 16.13-28: Do you ever feel like you are totally different than the rest of the world? Do you feel like at times you don’t belong? In reality, the church is a great contrast in this world. The church is different and set apart. In fact, in Matthew’s Gospel this week we see Jesus preparing a people by God’s revelation that are a great contrast in their common confession, communication, clinging hope, constant battle, continued commitment and their consummated future. As we are challenged today, we must weigh how we will live and what we will live for.
