The Mission of God and The Church: Shepherds and Sheep Living for the Glory of God

We have learned over the last couple of weeks about the mission of God and how God has set apart the church to live out His mission. Significant to the church living out and growing up in the mission of God is the joyful labor of its elders. Elders have been called to gladly and eagerly shepherd the members of the church, so that they will grow up in Christ and live out His mission. So, today we will look at the role of an elder in leading the way and setting the pace for making & maturing disciples. The ultimate goal of the elders’ shepherding and the church growing as Christ-like disciples is to reflect the glory of Jesus in the world.
