Matthew: True Disciples Mercifully Serve the Church
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Matthew's Gospel: The King and His Kingdom Topic: Judgment Passage: Matthew 25:31–25:46
Matthew 25.31-46: As we continue in our study of Matthew’s gospel, Jesus is closing out His Olivet Discourse. As Jesus did last week, He continues this week to hit on the importance of having persevering faith that bears fruit. The focus in this section is on serving the church. We are to serve the Christians whom God has put around us because we have been changed by Christ. This is a true mark of disciples. Such ministry of mercy to other Christians is necessary evidence of salvation. So, may we be faithful to serve those suffering in the church with ministries of mercy.
