Ephesians: How We Live As Christians Matters
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Ephesians: The Church's Identity and Mission Topic: Holiness Passage: Ephesians 5:3–5:21
Ephesians 5.3-21: Today we dive back into our sermon series in Ephesians. One of the main themes in Ephesians is the walk of a Christian. How we live as believers is a big deal. So, Paul continues to address the lifestyle of a believer. Even though we are now saved and children of light with the indwelling of the Spirit, we still can live according to the old nature and grieve the Holy Spirit. The big difference now is that we don’t have to. Where before we were unable to put off the old self and put on the new, now we can because we are a new creation. So, now that we are children of light we are to walk in holiness, love, the light and wisdom. May we be encouraged today to truly live a life pleasing to the Lord.
