Sacred Psalms: God Sustains

Here we find David’s response to a great amount of tension and angst he had faced. David is known as “a man after God’s own heart” and from today’s text we can easily see why. He recognizes the impact of God at work in his waiting and even when his enemies are closing in.

David’s response is likely similar to those that have walked through their own “miry pit.” Looking back it is easier to see how God’s hand was at work. But when we feel like we are sinking, we often fail to see God’s hand reaching for us in the midst of the things being tossed our way.
