Turning this World the Right Way Up

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: iWitness Topic: Christ and Culture Passage: Acts 16:11–40

Acts 16.11-40: God’s timing and plans often differ from what we have planned. That is what Paul and his traveling crew continued to learn as they set out on carrying the gospel to the nations. God desired Paul and his crew to minister in Philippi and plant a church there, so the Holy Spirit led them there and begin to turn the town right side up with the gospel. Jesus said, “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd (John 10.16).” Paul and his missionary companions were called to bring other sheep into the fold that lived in Philippi. God does not want us to grow complacent to this same work, but also go bring other sheep into the fold. Today we will look at the universal problem the world has, the unique solution to it and the results and effect of bringing other sheep into the fold has on the missional church.
