Jesus Uses our Weakness to Witness

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: iWitness Topic: Witness Passage: Acts 18:1–22

Acts 18.1-22: Have you ever felt weak, inadequate and afraid in representing Jesus? No doubt we have all been there at some point. You might find it surprising, but the apostle Paul felt this way. In today’s text, we find Paul in a big city full of much immorality and wealth and he seems to be struggle with fear and worry. We have no doubt all been there when we look at the condition of our world, nation and state and think how could I represent Jesus in a way that would change someone’s life? We worry about what others may think of us or maybe what they would even do to us. But God gives us encouragement today just as he gave Paul. We don’t have to be afraid or worry about anything, but are to keep telling people about Jesus because Jesus says He is with us. What a great promise! God wants to use our weakness, our inadequacies and overcome our fears to let the power of God draw people to faith. Let us trust Jesus and move forward courageously as His witness.
