What Jesus Wants For Us Part One

Could you imagine being at a place of employment and not knowing what they wanted you to do?  Could you imagine your kids walking in the first few days of school and not knowing what they were there for and what the teacher wanted for them and from them?  It would be hard not knowing your purpose there and what was expected.  Ultimately it would be frustrating.  Do you ever wonder what Jesus wants for us or what he wants us to be about?  It is most important to know what Jesus wants for us as His followers.  Over the next two weeks we are going to ask the question, What does Jesus want for us?  The last thing we want is to just chase our tails and live without purpose and meaning.  In John 17, Jesus gives a picture of God’s mission, how it relates to us and ultimately what He wants for us.
