Exalting God To The Next Generation Part 1

Let’s be honest, parenting is not easy.  There are fun times filled with laughter and trying times that you feel like will never end.  Kids can be a blessing and a burden, often wonderful and sometimes awful, and they do not come with a set of directions.  There have probably been times you have thrown your hands up as a parent (or grandparent, or caregiver) in a moment of frustration wondering, What is the point of this?  Or maybe you are asking yourself, How do I know if I am doing a good or bad job with this child?  No doubt we have all been there and need to know that there is a point and focus to our parenting that God has given us.  It says in Psalm 145.3-4, Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.  One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.  The point of parenting is for you to exalt God and help your kids do the same.  Let’s be encouraged over the next two weeks to exalt God to the next generation.
