Promise Keeper

January 14, 2018 Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Luke: Treasuring Jesus

Topic: God's Promises Passage: Luke 1:5–2:7

Luke 1-2: There are many attributes and titles that we could give to God.  Today, we see that He is the Promise Keeper.  There was silence for 400 years, as nothing from a prophet or messenger of God had been spoken, but then the promises that God would send a forerunner before the coming of the Messiah and send the Messiah Himself were being fulfilled.  God keeps His promise and as He does we see His plans and purposes unfold in a great dramatic story.  The promises of God are important.  We trust in them and stand on them as our sure foundation.  Let us be reminded of the promises of God today and let them be fuel to our hope so we can live out God’s plans and purposes for us.
