Face to Face With Crisis and Evil

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Luke: Treasuring Jesus Topic: Jesus Passage: Luke 8:22–39

Luke 8.22-29:  In life we can get tired and exhausted.  There can be the unexpected crisis or trouble that flares up.  When that happens what do we do?  There is also the consistent trap of danger as temptation and evil is all around us.  Do we open ourselves up to it?  There is a battle going on along with daily troubles and there is only one who has the power and ability to help.  For many of us today, we know the answer and the one who has such ability to be Jesus Himself.  We need Him for the crisis and to win in the ongoing battle.  In today’s text, we see the wind, waves and demons submitting to Jesus.  This is the One available and working for those who love Him.  Let us remember who Jesus is and live in light of that today.
