Dependence

Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Luke: Treasuring Jesus Topic: salvation, Prayer Passage: Luke 18:1–17

Luke 18.1-17: Often in our world today parents are trying to get their kids to be independent.  I understand that completely, but we also have to teach our children dependence as well.  We all need to know what it is to be dependent on someone else.  In Luke’s gospel today, we see two gracious gifts given by God: salvation and prayer.  Both of these involve our dependence on God.  With dependent hearts (Proverbs 3.5) on the Lord today let us learn about these two gracious gifts from the Lord.
