The New Covenant People

February 9, 2020 Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Gospel in Life

Topic: New Covenant Passage: 1 Corinthians 11:17–11:34

The church is not perfect.  We fall short in how we treat our gatherings and each other at times.  The church in Corinth struggled in these areas and Paul addresses this to not just call the people out, but to remind them about who they are as a people and what that means for their gatherings and for them as a community that treasures Christ.  We are a new creation and community because of Jesus’ death and resurrection.  We celebrate this in the Lord’s Supper as we celebrate through remembering and proclaiming.  Let us rejoice in the new covenant this morning that was made possible through the blood and body of Jesus Christ.
