We are created to enjoy knowing God and to worship Him. God longs for worship from us, genuine, and joyfully worship. Jesus says in John 4:24, "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." This was God’s desire for the Samaritan woman at the well and God’s desire for us. Psalm 33, begins with a call to worship and the psalmist desires to stir worship up in the congregation, for this is what they were created for. He does this by declaring God as the speaking, seeing, sovereign and saving Lord.
