Malachi: Reality

Malachi 3.13-4.6: Today we close out our study of Malachi with a look at reality. The Israelites had visibly been disobedient, but here we see today the Lord revealing the secret attitude and conversations that expresses their proud hearts. So, God compares the real attitude present in the proud Israelites with the humble attitude of those who truly fear God. God declares that there will be a day of distinguishing between the righteous and unrighteous. We long await for the day of the Lord that Malachi speaks of when hypocrisy and unreality will end. This great day is when Jesus returns and righteousness and reality will reign forever. So, we say, “come Lord Jesus come”.
