Live For The Glory of God
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Gospel in Life Topic: Glory of God Passage: 1 Corinthians 10:14–32
God is truly glorious and there is nothing or no one that can take away from His glory. The big question is, will we join God in making much of Him in this world with the life we live each day? Or will we give the glory due Him to something or someone else? This is really what life boils down to: is God’s name being glorified in and through my life or is another? Paul was trying to make this point to the church at Corinth with the issue of pagan feasts they were attending and with the Lord’s Supper that they were also participating in. Paul wants us to see in today’s text that the Lord’s Supper is really about what you do when you are not at the Lord’s Supper and what we do with the threat of idolatry coming at us every day. Let our life not be a feasts of idols, but a life lived for the glory of God, for that is why Christ died for us.
