Minor Prophet: Major Message - Habakkuk
Series: Minor Prophet: Major Message Topic: Worry Passage: Habakkuk 1:1–3:19
Today as we journey through Scripture together my desire is to not give you an antidotal response to worry – I am not going remind you to simply, “cast all your cares on Jesus” according to 1 Peter 5:7. Instead we are going to look at the life of a man, with a tremendous amount to worry about. A man’s whose life and livelihood were on the line. He walked in some shoes that none us would dare to touch. That man is the prophet Habakkuk. Our overview of this three-chapter book will give us a lot to consider in our own lives. Habakkuk was faced with two choices. He could either continue to worry about the things he didn’t know OR focus on the things he did know. Habakkuk eventually chose the latter and had his faith firmly rooted in a stable place – trusting in God.
