Many of us have verses that are our go to verses. We often call them life verses. This Summer we are looking at some life verses. They may be some of yours too. Today, we are looking at Isaiah 26.8. This verse is part of a section in Scripture where Isaiah is looking forward to when Jesus Christ returns. He pictures himself with a people standing in the redeemed land singing a song of praise to God. But this song is not just something they will sing in the future, but also in the present. God has risen up a generation in Isaiah’s day who trusts in God and they have this passionate cry, which Isaiah 26.8 is part of. I personally encountered this verse in 1998, this has been my life verse ever since. Let this be the song and cry of our life just as it was Isaiah’s.
