Ecclesiastes: Jesus Is Better

Ecclesiastes deals with real life and the many pursuits of man to find out what life is all about. Solomon is king and has a vast amount of riches and wisdom yet couldn’t quite figure out how to put the puzzle of life together. He went on a journey to find the meaning of life, as he tried to find them in the pleasures of the flesh, the accumulation of wealth and the reality of death. He found that living life independently of God was like chasing the wind. It is absolute futility. Let us learn from Solomon’s mistakes as we seek to build our families and apply God’s kingdom principles to our lives today. May we know that Jesus is better than anything this world can offer.
