Patterns of Discipleship - Go, Weep, Pray
Speaker: David Bird Series: Luke: Treasuring Jesus
In our study today (Luke 19:28-48), we enter into the final week of the life of Jesus before His crucifixion. Knowing the time of His sacrifice is close everything He says is pointed at our understanding. Every command is vastly important. Every action He takes is critical to our understanding of His example to follow.
Today we are going to look at three commands we are to obey and the actions to immediately take. GO – without delay to the place and the people where God has a spiritual adventure awaiting us. WEEP – over the lostness of humanity, the poor condition of their souls, and the impending judgement of God. PRAY – fervent pray aligning with the Father’s heart is the purpose of the church and each disciple. What will God say to you today?
