Matthew: Meek and Merciful
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Matthew's Gospel: The King and His Kingdom Topic: Kingdom of God Passage: Matthew 5:5–5:7
In today’s look at Jesus’ sermon in the hill country we are called to bear the attributes of meekness and mercy. In the world these are seen as soft characteristics. Some believe the merciful are those who are taken advantage of. They believe the gentle are weak. When it comes to the kingdom these are attributes of great worth. They are the source of God alone and God is not soft. May we listen and obey God’s desire today, to have these attitudes displayed in our life.
