Matthew: The Kingdom's Power and Price
Speaker: Jerry Witham Series: Matthew's Gospel: The King and His Kingdom Topic: Kingdom of God Passage: Matthew 13:31–13:33
Matthew 13.31-33, 44-50: Parables were analogies used by Jesus by which He would use the earthly to speak of the heavenly. Today we are going to actually look at four parables and get a picture of the kingdom of God.
Before holy week we saw the nature of the kingdom in this same chapter. Today we will see the power and the priceless value of the kingdom. From its small beginnings the kingdom has expanded with faithful followers willingly paying the price to follow Jesus. The prayer today is that we would continue to pay the price as faithful branches and that others would flock to the kingdom.
